Coach Harvey

Speed and DLine

Coach Harvey has an extensive background in the strength and conditioning/sports performance field. He has worked as a college and high school strength and conditioning coach as well as a sports performance coach and director of sports performance at a nationally recognized performance company. In that time he had the privilege to help athletes from middle school through professionals obtain their performance goals.

Coach Harvey attended Harding University in Searcy Arkansas on a football scholarship where he played on the offensive line. After graduating from Harding with a B.A. in Sports Management, at the encouragement of his college strength and conditioning and football coach, Coach Harvey obtained his masters degree in exercise science at the University of Northern Colorado while working as a graduate strength and conditioning coach. After completion of his graduate studies Coach Harvey returned to Arkansas working for a sports medicine facility and serving as the strength and conditioning coach for Harding University.

Coach Harvey then went to work for Velocity Sports Performance first as a performance coach then as a Sports Performance Director overseeing all performance training and performance coaching staff. After a successful and rewarding time with Velocity Coach Harvey left to pursue his other passion and began coaching football coaching in the high school and junior college ranks. He continued training athletes in Arizona through East Valley Speed Training, the Staley Performance Institute, and now with Authority Football.

Coach Harvey is a Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Certified Senior Olympic Weightlifting Coach, Certified TRX Sports Medicine, Kettle Bell Instructor and Battling Rope Instructor.

Coach Harvey is the best D Line coach I’ve ever had even at the college level. He hits on the little things: putting your hands in the right place, taking the proper steps, really exploding through, and focusing on a lot of things that most people don’t understand. You can look on TV and see all the stuff he teaches that the guys in the NFL and big time colleges are doing the same exact things that we’re learning and doing.

Coach Bob Harvey has been an amazing influence for my 13 year old son Sebastian on and off the field. Sebastian has had the privilege to learn from and train with Coach Harvey going on 4th season now. Coach Bob has taught my son to be a dominant defensive lineman. He has shown him how to work out, condition and lift weights-the right way; tackle correctly; be fast on his feet and to be a BETTER player. I cannot believe how STRONG this young man of mine is and the speed and agility he has now from the training offered from Coach Harvey! As a single mom I didn’t know where to turn for guidance when I noticed my son had something special to offer on the football field. I knew I couldn’t teach him the way of the game and we needed to find him the right Coach/Coaches to do this. We were so lucky to find the TOROS football program which introduced us to Coach Bob and Authority Football! Not only on the field but off the field Coach Bob (and the entire team at Authority Football ) have shown my son skills he needed to be a respectful and talented football player and young man. My son and I are looking forward to another season of training from Coach Bob and many more to come!
